#71 Bill Podley and the Podley People

Most Creative Tie in to a Movie Filmed in Sierra Madre (Business)

Once upon a time, back in 1956, a movie called “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” was filmed in Sierra Madre. It tells the story of alien plant spores that have fallen from space and grown into large seed pods. These pods make reproductions of the inhabitants of the town and take over their minds and bodies. They are like robots with no feelings.

However, there was one rogue pod accidentally left by the invaders that developed into a wonderful man named Bill Podley. This pod is very kind and nice and he really wanted to become an important part of Sierra Madre. So, he opened a Real Estate company and called it Podley Properties and all of his agents are called Podley People. The Podley People sell Pads (homes), not Pods, to all of the good people of Sierra Madre. And they all live happily ever after.
