Margot Lennartz, was a celebrated and respected artist of Southern California.  She had a very colorful and enthusiastic personality and she enriched the local arts community for many years.  Margot was an accomplished and masterful oil painter whose works have found their way into the hearts and homes of many admirers and collectors.

In addition, she was a dedicated teacher of oil painting classes for approximately twenty years in her home studio in La Crescenta, California.  Margot also taught for years at the Creative Arts Group in Sierra Madre, California and enjoyed it tremendously.  She loved her students and in return was admired and affectionately respected by them.  Her classes at the Creative Arts Group meant everything to her.

Margot passed away on March 14, 2015 and, in her memory, her children have established the Margot Lennartz Memorial Adult Scholarship Fund.  This fund will assist adult art students who wish to attend classes at the Creative Arts Group but do not have the financial means to do so.  Margot would be delighted and grateful to know that opportunities will be opened for aspiring artists in need.
