Mission Renaissance Fine Art Classes
At the beginning of fall, a clever little crow was flying through the
beautiful city of Sierra Madre when she noticed scarecrows arriving for
the annual Scarecrow Festival.
A little nervous, she searched for a safe place to hide. Thats when she
spotted Mission: Renaissance FineArt Classes. Peeking through the
window, she saw students studying and recreating the works of the great
master painters. Suddenly, an idea fluttered into her mind:
Hmmmm I could disguise myself as a famous painting! Then no one will
find me!
After admiring the work of many master artists, she chose the graceful
ballerinas of Edgar Degas, whose paintings have been studied and
recreated by many Mission: Renaissance students.
Using soft pastels, she transformed herself into a beautiful ballerina,
complete with a delicate tutu
inspired by Degas.
Visit Mission: Renaissance and look closely at the artwork in the
window. You might spot a little black
beak, a pair of shiny eyes, and a few feathers beneath a pastel tutu.
The clever crow had become Degas DeCAW Ballerina!
