Kayleigh Z-Martin

Kayleigh Z-Martin is an artist and educator born and raised in Pasadena. Her current work originates from practicing curiosity and deep noticing on long walks. Back in the studio, ceramic forms, photographs, tracings, ink pools, footprints, and studio ephemera form her layered art practice. Fascinated by glaze chemistry and the elemental properties of clay, Z-Martin earned her MFA from CSU Long Beach in 2025. She earned a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute in 2015, and is deeply influenced by her time living in Kochi, Japan.
